Friday, August 19th is the new date for the next $5 Donation Day!
Here’s how it works. For every $5.00 donated, a number will be assigned. $5.00 would equal one number, $15.00 would equal three numbers, $25.00 would equal five numbers, and so on. At the end of the donation drive, we will select random numbers and contact those people to pick their prize!
I am pleased to announce that we will be moving forward with Scares That Care Charity Weekend 4. Please note that I did not say “convention,” as I – and the Board of Directors – feel that we have surpassed that word in the scope of what it is that we do. There will still be guests, both film and literary. Awesome Vendors, fun events. All for the sake of giving back to those who need it most.
So – the hotel room block is now open (same hotel). The dates are July 21st -23rd, 2017. (If you plan on joining us on Thursday before the show, your date will be July 20th.) YOU MUST GIVE THE GROUP CODE OF “BOO” WHEN RESERVING YOUR ROOM. IF YOU DO NOT GIVE THIS CODE, THEY WILL TELL YOU THE HOTEL IS SOLD OUT. Information is on the “Scares That Care!” Weekend website. Please note that there has been an increase in the hotel rooms, from $119 to $129 per night.
We will be focusing on getting the attendee ticket sales up by this Sunday evening. Vendor table sales will follow, after we meet to discuss the reviews you all filled out for us. There will be some changes – all for the better. As always, please share, spread the word, and bring three friends. We love you, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 2017, HERE WE COME!

On October 11, 2015, we presented a check of $10,000 to our Breast Cancer Fighter – Lisa Gage. She just finished another 18-round batch of chemo, (her second), has had a previous double mastectomy, and is a single mother of a teenage boy. Our Florida State Reps Sherry Billings on the left and Cristabell Lea Stephens on the right – presented Lisa with her check. I’m so very proud of them, of Lisa – and of you…my family…for allowing us to present this check and provide a little relief to Lisa. Thank you all. – Joe Ripple, Founder and CEO
