 Going through Breast Cancer, including chemo, partial mastectomy, radiation by yourself and losing your husband to Leukemia a few years before you battle this disease…is unthinkable.


Christine is a fighter. A warrior. A horror fan. And because all of this – we welcome her as our 2019 Breast Cancer recipient of our gift. Please welcome her to the family as we know you can! 

Burn Survivor

 Just after the birth of his daughter, David Richards was involved in a horrific home accident. Engulfed in flames from an exploding gas can, David suffered 80% burns on his body from his neck to his feet. 

Heritage Humane Society

 Heritage Humane Society is a local, independent, open-admission shelter that receives more than 93% of its funding through private donations, and receives no funding from the Humane Society of the United States or the ASPCA. By keeping donations local, you help homeless pets in our community find their way safely to new homes.

Scares That Care! is an all volunteer charity. Net proceeds from all organization events are provided to the recipients selected.

“Scares That Care!” Inc., is an IRS approved, 501(c)(3) charity. Founded in 2006, “Scares That Care!” to date has raised and donated over $250,000 to organizations that treat sick children and families with a child affected by illness, burns or women fighting breast cancer.
